Spring Pottstown Bible Church Update!

Hello friends,

As I was reflecting on our ministry I reflected upon Proverbs 14:21.
It says, "He who despises his neighbor sins against God, his fellowman and himself, but happy, Blessed and fortunate
is he who is kind and merciful to the poor"
Lately, it seems that the needs of the poor continue to increase. As you can see from the pictures they continue to
come to us for help.

They are at times overwhelmed due to there circumstances. They have taught me so much about the poverty of love that I often struggle with. They have been my teachers and I have been their student!

As I look into their faces I see Christ looking at me and calling me to put Him on full display at PBC.
I see the importance of faithfully and passionately preaching and teaching His Word to them.
He reminds me continually that there is much work yet to be done.
Satan and his imps want Pottstown for themselves. Well, they will have to jump over us to get to them!

Please continue to keep us in prayer. The spiritual battles have been tough lately. These spring and summer months are always tough on us financially. Please if possible, help us out with a monthly gift as the Lord leads you.
Groceries are always needed.
What's Happening this summer"
We will be doing an 8 week series called "The walk of repentance"
We will be doing "The way of the master" training for those who want to share their faith.
We will be having our church picnic and baptisms the end of June.
Vacation bible school in June.
And Lord willing, a celebration of TEN YEARS serving Christ in Pottstown!!!!!

Thank You for all that you do for us. Without your financial help we would not be able to serve here.

Currnet need!

Hello Friends!

We currently have some pressing needs. Our first need is for food for the homelss
Our homeless population continues to increase. Our pantry is now critically low again.
They line up down the wall all the way to our front door now!

They come in with all of their belongings in back packs which continues to complicate our problem of space.
There are cold and hungry.

This leads us to our second challenge. As you can see by these pictures we have run out of room. We need a bigger building to continue to minister to these people.
It's exciting but at the same time challenging!

Our Third challenge is heating oil for the church. I have been getting to the church by 7:30 am to let them in out of the cold on Sunday mornings. They are waiting for me when I arrive to get out of the cold and also for breakfast.

This has increased the use of oil to heat the church. At this time we do not have any funds to purchase additional oil. Our small assistance fund has been drained as well.
Please continue to lift us up in your prayers. We may consider adding a Sunday evening service to open the church up to get them out of the cold and provide some additional food.

We know God is faithful and we are here to serve Him as long as we have strength in our bodies. We have seen an increase in those who are plugging in
to our one-on-one discipleship. This is truly exciting

Our men's pure life group has 11 men consistently attending on Tuesday nights!

Soon we may be able to start having people from around the world tune in by internet to watch the service in real time! We'll keep you updated!

Some powerful things are happening here at PBC.
If you can help us out in any way please consider doing so!

Home for the Holiday

As  the  holidays  approach,  I find the need  to express  my  thankfulness  to the Lord,  for Pottstown Bible Church.  I was listening to someone speaking about our Church this week reminding me of just how rag tag our church appears and it made me laugh.

Not because it is true, but because I have to be reminded that it is true.  I have discovered that I no longer see my little church as others see it.  They walk by and see a story front, they come in and see homeless, sometimes dirty...sometimes smelly people. But  I walk in and see the smiling faces of my family that I love.  I walk in and find hope.  I walk in and find home.

WE again find our shelves bare!

Hello Friends,
I hope all of you are looking forward to spending time with your families at Christmas.
Today Sunday December 9th was a busy time at Pottstown Bible Church.
We again had a packed out church with many standing during the service.
A large amount of Homeless folk found us and we ended up handing out about 160 bags of groceries.
We fed about 70+ people hot meals.

Were asking each of you to foward this E-Mail to your friends and family members
as we seek some additional donations for food.
I'm hoping to do some food drives as soon as possible.
I'm also expecting this need to increase as many new homeless are finding their way to us
The most important thing we are giving them is the gospel!!
Please keep us in prayer as we will also need some funding for oil very soon.
Soli Deo Gloria!!!
